Hi everyone-
Finally, Book 3 is almost here! I'm very excited that the "green book" is almost in bookstores.
Some stores are having "launch parties" to celebrate the release of the new book. I hope that there's a launch party near you! I made up a bunch of games and activities, and I hope people have fun at these events.
I'll be heading off on a nationwide tour starting February 7th. Hope I'm coming to a city near you!

My son has had a hard time reading (dyslexic and CAPD) but I finally convinced him to give the Wimpy Kid book a try. He LOVED it! He read the whole book in 24 hours. This is HUGE for him. Since then I've bought the two sequals which he's almost finished with the second and is dying to read the last. Thank you Mr. Kinney sooooo much for opening up the world of reading to my son!! We're even going to have a Wimpy Kid party this summer. I've made up a game called "The Cheese Touch" (based on hot potato) and will be giving them all a journal. Thank you!

My son has already had all three books and is patiently waiting for the 4th. He suffers from ADHD and our therapist suggested he and I spend some time reading together. So last night I started reading the first one out loud to him and OMG this series is hilarious. He told me that he feels like he's reading his own story and like other parents who have posted he's read each one within 24 to 48 hours. Thank you so much Jeff for this gift you've given us. It is truly appreciated.

Your books are awesome. My favorite part was when Greg was climbing up the tree to get the blanket that his little brother, Manny, threw up into the tree (at the end of Book 3). Well anyway - back to the story....and when his pants fell down when he was climbing. And some of the people from the neighborhood saw him! Is it true that Diary of a Whimpy kid is going to be a movie??

Oh my goodness! I'm a 27 year old mother to an 8 year old daughter and decided to read her book "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" out of curiosity! It is by far the funniest thing I've ever read! I was laughing so hard I started crying at the part where Greg was eating Cheerios at 3 in the morning! It's brilliant!

I can't wait for my class to start reading the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. We will be focusing on personal narrative this fall, and I think these books are perfect to go along with that. I am also excited because I think this series will engage even my most reluctant readers. I'll keep you posted!
