Hi everyone-In October, I've got a brand-new book coming out called the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Do-It-Yourself Book.
This one is really hard to describe. It's kind of a part comic book, part activity book, part blank journal. The hardcover book has 16 pages of full-color comics in the middle.
Hope you'll check it out, and hope you like it!
Also - we're running a Do-It-Yourself contest, where you're invited to create your own comic. If you write the winning comic, you could win a visit from me to your school! Or, you could win the chance to have me "wimpify" your family... I'll draw your family in the Wimpy Kid style.

My 9 Year Old daughter found your book on Friday night in a book store at the NJ shore. By Saturday she read 120 pages. Have never seen her so interested in a book. She made me buy her the 2nd in the series and can't wait for the next. Keep up the good work.

This book is amazing! For some reason, mine is red. I did everything already. It's so easy. The only thing I need to do is what's your story. My friend thinks that part is dumb. Please don't ask me what's wrong with him. My other friend has it, and he LOVES the make your own comics, and the unfinished comics. One of my friends doesn't have it, I feel bad for him. I could buy it for him, but I don't know. I don't even know if he really wants it. I can't wait for the third book to come out. It's gonna be awesome. I read the first two in two days. They were great. I think Jeff Kinney is a GREAT author. I wonder if he writes other books. I wonder if Greg gets a car or something in the third book. I just need to tell you that my 8 year old LOVES YOU and your books, he's been busy for the last few weeks writing comics and drawing cartoons in the do it yourself book. He is even taking an art class because you inspire him and he is learning to draw some cartoons. He will be entering the comic contest one of this days. James (my son) has been taking his do it yourself book to school every day, his friends also bring their books and they read and share what they wrote so far. They seem to have a great time, they are always laughing at their silly comics. Since he started reading your books he develop a habit of reading daily. I am so glad he is enjoying reading and he can't wait for the new book to hit the stores.
Are you planning to start a clothing line or hats, stickers, posters, etc.? My son will love to wear something with the wimpy kid picture on (Greg). Let me know please maybe is out and I am not aware. Will you be coming to LA or Orange county, California to sign books sometime in the future?

Okay, I'm a 40 year old teacher and I finally just read Diary of a Wimpy Kid the other day. I was crying because I was laughing so much. I love how the book just flew by and was entertaining and then up would pop an extra hilarious part and I couldn't help myself. Hi, I'm a huge fan! My friend in my class got this book from a 2009 book fair. I had a look and asked my mum to buy it. She bought it, then number 1. They are SO funny. I can't wait till Dog Days (Book 4)comes out.

This do-it-yourself book is fantastic! I love the comics in the middle! It's a really brilliant way of drawing comics and writing a diary *Ehem* journel (hehe)!
