Book 3 has a cover... hope you like it!
In book 3, Greg's dad decides that the only way to shape up his son is to send him off to military school. So Greg has to use his wits to get out of a very sticky situation.
Book 3 comes out on January 13th of 2009 ... a long way from now, I know!

I think your books are great and high interest reading material for my students. I'm glad you're doing a third. I do have one question though . . . do you not know how to use subject pronouns? I want to use your books with my students, but having poor grammar modeled for them is discouraging. Using proper subject pronouns would not diminish the juvinlile nature of your main character. I cringe every time I read: "Me and Rodrick," or "Him and me." Him and Me are object pronouns, not subject pronouns.
Anyway, except for the that, your books are well done.

No wonder Rodrick Rules sold the most copies of any book in the last book fair, and no wonder we can't keep book 1 or 2 on the library shelf. This series is HILARIOUS!! We love it here so much that it is going in to our 08-09 Battle Book competition.

I love your books. I wish that my 1st grade class could read them on their own. I read Diary of a Wimpy Kid to them and they liked it, so I'm going to do it again next year. I read Rodrick Rules and I loved it. Keep writing, and I love your cover I think that it will make children like to read.

I read the first and second of the DIARY of a Wimpy Kid already. They were great. When I read them I thought I was in the story too.
Now is my broters turn.I read the first book already, but I don't have time to finish the second book just like my sister, but I knew That when I finish the second book I will read it again and again.

greg is one in his own way smart kid. Books one and two were last years high lights. When you are done with the series you should do a collecters box collection containg all the books.

Jeff, my son received your first book for his 7th birthday and we had to run out and buy the second one a week later...he loves them and takes them to school everyday to read during silent reading time.
