I was one of the funniest books I've read in a while. Great job! I picked it up after it was featured in the Borders email newsletter. My favorite part was the chapter on Halloween. You expect your grandmother to clean up the TPing?!? Hilarious! I look forward to your next installment.

Mr. Kinney, My fifth grade son and I were shopping around for summer reading when we noticed your book. I bought it for him, and he read it in two days. (I read it whenever he put it down) He was even reading it by book lamp after lights out! I recommended the book to all of the moms on his baseball team, and all of their sons have since read it too. I am an English teacher myself and have a copy in my class library. I have recommended the book to all the teachers I know. We await the sequel eagerly! Thanks for such a terrific book! What a great story, especially for those reluctant to read! We love it!
Mr. Kinney, You truly have the gift of writing. This book feels as if it was the true diary of a 7th grader. I am in 5th grade, and I am impressed on how you have studied the minds of kids. The thing about THE CHEESE TOUCH really happens, the brotherly arguments happen just as described, and more. When reading this, I almost feel as if it was my diary (only I don't have 2 brothers and I'm a girl.) Anyway, I wish you repeated success on the next books. -Me

I just have to tell you Mr. Kinney that your books have changed my daughter's life. I hope you will continue to write and not get too sidetracked with the movie thing. My daughter had never read a book on her own without being told or without help until this fall when she discovered your first book of the Wimpy Kid series. She came to my husband and I screaming, "I can read this!!!!" She had been diagnosed with a communicative learning disability which I strongly suspect is dyslexia in some form. The font that you use and the layout of your books make it possible for her to read without pause and so comprehension comes with ease. You have no idea how much of an impact this has had on my daughter's confidence. She has had the best academic year of her life! After 5 years of struggling in school she finally feels she is getting somewhere. Thank you so much. Keep writing!!!!
