The book comes out this weekend!

This is no April Fool's joke ... the book will be in stores on Sunday, April 1st.

You can find it in the kids' book section at Borders, Shelf F ("Friendship and Humor").

I can't wait to see it in bookstores ... it will be a dream come true!

One week until the book is in stores!

I can't believe it... just seven more days until the book hits stores! It's taken many years for Diary of a Wimpy Kid to come to print, and I just wanted to thank each and every person who has encouraged me along the way.

The hardcover is very cool ... my publisher, Abrams, did a very nice job of putting together the best book possible. When you hold it in your hands, you'll see what I mean!

Some online booksellers have the book in stock now. So you might be able to get a copy before it reaches stores!

Two weeks until the first book is in stores!

Book One should be showing up in stores right around April 1st. If your bookstore doesn't carry it, please ask for it!

Borders will stock the book in its kids section, "Friendship and Humor," Row F.

Now that the book has officially "launched," it will start shipping out to stores.

I've got a copy of the book, and it looks great! It's in hardcover, and it has cool special effects like fake Scotch tape.

The book launches in New York City!

Be the first to get your copy of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, signed by the author!

If you're going to be in the New York area on February 24th or 25th, there will be three book signings.

On February 24th, I'll be signing books from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. at the New York Comic Con. Tickets to Comic Con have sold out for Saturday, but if you already have a ticket, please drop by the Harry N. Abrams booth!

On February 25th, I'll be signing books from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Comic Con. Tickets to the convention are still available for Sunday.


Then, at 1:00 p.m., I'll be signing books at Books of Wonder in Manhattan. This event is open to the public, and is FREE to attend!

This is your first chance to get the book, which is not yet in stores. I hope to see you at one of these events!
