Hi everyone-
Finally, Book 3 is almost here! I'm very excited that the "green book" is almost in bookstores.
Some stores are having "launch parties" to celebrate the release of the new book. I hope that there's a launch party near you! I made up a bunch of games and activities, and I hope people have fun at these events.
I'll be heading off on a nationwide tour starting February 7th. Hope I'm coming to a city near you!

Can't wait. I will be buying three copies for my library and one for my house. It's the only series that my son has read cover to cover without complaining!!
I can't wait! I've been counting down myself. I am always the first person at the library to read the new books in the Wimpy Kids series, but I think I'm going to buy this one. Sometimes, they are just a little too slow, but I still love 'em!

OMGOSH I love these books I've read them to other people and when ever I read something funny I would hear them laugh... I'm so excited for the 3rd one to come out I wish it came out tomorrow! I think its unacceptable that its only the 5th of January it needs to be the 13th!

We went to Borders today to reserve our copy of the new book because I love your books so much!! These are the best books I've ever read in my life. I loved them so much that I didn't sleep until I finished them (at 12:15 am but I didn't tell my Mom about it). I heard that there is going to be a movie made from the books, is that true??? If it is...will the movie have stick figures or real people?? Or..animation???

My son loved Part 1 and Part 2..and we got Part 3 the same day of the release at our local Barnes & Noble bookstore.
He got so excited and read the whole book in one day (same as the others when they first came out).
He also loved the Do-It-Yourself book. He is still working on it!
We can't wait for Part 4 and Part 5 series!

OMG. This 3rd book is hilarious. It is like you used our 13 yr old to write this book. Every turn of the page just makes us laugh harder. Granted my son just shakes his head but he knows it is all true. Great job. Looking forward to future books.

I really love your books. As soon as I found out book three was out I raced begging to my mom to buy it. A day later my mom bought it for me and surprised me after school. I am at page 70 already on the first day I got it! I was so happy... I cant keep my eyes off it. I am reading it right now while on the computer playing games. I have all 3 books and got them at least 2 weeks after they came out and plan on keeping them. I love the covers. And the pages. It looks like real paper. Good job. Cant wait until book four comes out. I am guessing its yellow??? xD

My 8-year-old daughter just finished your first book, her first real chater book. We are bringing it to your VA appearance on 2/14 for you to sign. We are both very excited.
I've read this book and I think it is my favorite out of the three. I hope the fourth one comes out sooner than this Fall.
My son received his book on a Thursday after school, and he finished reading it on Saturday morning. He thought it would probably be the worst book ever, because when I got the do it yourself book, it's not that I didn't like it. It was so frustrating that I did not want to read another Jeff Kinney book again because it was so repetitive, but when I read the third sequel, I now look at the Jeff Kinney books in a whole new light and I give him 5 stars!!! I am really looking forward to the next book.

i posted a comment earlier this morning(dont know if it got through) but it said i was gonna get my copy of book three on saturday. Turns out we went to the bookstore and i picked up a copy today!!!! so far it is really great. I read it in the store, in the car, and at home for an hour and a half. Diary of a wimpy kid is the best book I ever read. I hope the next two books come out soon. Hey! I love this book. How did you come up with the code words? My favourite part of this book is when David Nester spit out a piece of gum to Greg's hair and he said "Raspberry plastic tickle bear". It was so funny I burst into laughter. And when will ever book 4 come out?

I was recently introduced to the book by my sister because I have been having a difficult time getting my 7 year old to read anything (he finds every book I get him "boring"). Well, he can't stop reading the 1st book; he read 28 pages in less than an hour. I could hear him laughing and having a great read. So, I started to read the book...I am in love. This book is genius. I am a 32 year old mother, and I can't stop reading. On my way to the book store to get the others books...lol. Mr. Kinney, please keep them coming.

Hey there, I just bought this book at my school's book fair today, and I LOVE IT. I'm almost done, and I've only had it for about 6 hours. I was sneaking in some reading in the middle of math class, and thankfully, I didn't get called on. So far, I think "The Last Straw" is the best book of the three. I'm going to get the fourth as soon as it comes out. C:
