In book 3, Greg's dad decides that the only way to shape up his son is to send him off to military school. So Greg has to use his wits to get out of a very sticky situation.
Book 3 comes out on January 13th of 2009 ... a long way from now, I know!

I looked up DIary of A WImpy Kid on WIkipedia. It said that there was a girl named Piper Matthews who was the prettiest girl in Greg's church and how Greg really loves her even though she dosen't pay attention to Greg. Is this book the moment when that happens and will Greg ever get her to pay attention to him?
I hear in this book Greg's dad wants his son to go to Bishop Garrigan for high school but instead make him go to Crossland High School where Rodrick goes to because he has to get married!

Annnnnyway, Jeff i love your books!What makes them so great is.... well there realistic!! I think. You should definatly add fregly to the 3rd book. Could you change the cover, my mom porbably wont let me buy it with that cover, JUST JOKING. If u add Fregly.... NO! WAIT! add back the old favorite, the cheese touch. I never heard the end of that im my school! It would be awsome if you made greg tell everyone rowley ate the cheese, or make a new piece of cheese. In your online version you have that bully in the woods Herbie Reamer, well if you put him in and had Rodrick tell greg a story, and have the whole school start a roumer. Jeff, if you use any of my ideas, plese give me credit, I don't care wear.

Do you guys even know how hard it is to publish a book? First you have to write it on Microsoft word ( Which has bigger pages than it should ) then you have to try and size it down, and hope that the publisher likes it! We're lucky that it's coming out in January! It takes that long! I'm not Jeff Kinney, but I am an author, and let me tell you, if you're impatient and want to publish a book, self publiishing is the way to go! I'm not trying to put an image in your head that I am harsh or don't like his books, but i'm just irritated that you guys would think that it's soooooo easy to publish a book and he should do it faster. Think ablout it, if Jeff Kinney rushed his books, then they wouldn't be nearly as funny as they are right now! He takes time and asks around, looking for good jokes that he can use in the book! You should try and contact him, and ask him how long it takes him to publish the book, and where he gets his jokes. I'm telling you, it takes a very long time! If you want to read the books that I wrote, go to lulu.com and type Sputh in the seardh bar. It will pop up two books. They are both in a series. The Effect: Sun, is first and Mercury is the sequel.

I love the new cover. I also love the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Before my friend introduced me to these awesome books I hated reading. I only read if I had to. Now I am not afraid to read any book that looks funny. I can not wait to read the next few books from Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. I can not believe just because Gregory is not in shape his dad is sending him off to military school. And Gregory in his underwear!? What's up with that? A lot of the cover tells the story. I also can not wait to hear about the latest news on Manny and Rodrick. I think Gregory was in some bad luck starting with the Cheese Touch and ending with Rodrick spreading his secret. So much has gone on.

I am a Librarian in Maryland and I saw the first book laying around in the branch one day. I heard it was a great read. I began reading it and finished it in like 2 days...it is so funny I could not put it down...so after I read the second one...it was great. I agree with that 'I'm an author too' guy. Well I'm going to be an author and I just deleted my first draft of the book I'm writing. It's going to be a series of 2 or more depending on how may are bought. Anyway, it's called Uniformal:Disater Number One. Microsoft word's pages ARE huge and I've got writers' block already! I can't think of any thing! IT'S TERRIBLE!!!BBut I'd still like to encourage you guys to write!
